History

The Leisure Pass Group creates all-inclusive tourist ‘smart’ passes, for cities around the world. Launching with The London Pass, the programme has spread to U.K. cities such as York, and the company recently launched The New York Pass. The concept behind each pass is to help visitors make the most of their stay, by providing them with the best a city has to offer in tourist attractions, shopping, leisure, services and transport in some cities, all in one complete package. The purchase price covers entrance to all attractions and gives discounts at shops, theatres, services and restaurants.

Founded The Leisure Pass Group was founded by Angus Rankine and Andrew Grahame in 1995. In 2001, to reflect the portfolio of passes the company now markets, they changed the name to Leisure Pass Group.

Technology The London Pass was the UK’s first city pass to use smart card technology. Users have their pass swiped at till points for cashless transactions. Once activated the pass is valid for the number of consecutive calendar days that have been purchased. Each pass has its own website outlining usage, attractions available for visitation and on-line booking facilities.

Partners In the past two years The Leisure Pass Group has formed strong professional relationships with leading tourism industry bodies and providers, such as:
British Airways, Rail Europe, Creative Holidays, Superbreaks, Kuoni Travel, Hilton Hotels, London Transport, Britain Visitor Centre

Memberships:
