06 November 2006

After 30 years, the anticipation is over – the Great British Heritage Family Pass is here!

As of 2007, the Great British Heritage Pass (GBHP) will also be available as a Family Pass, for the first time in its 30 year history. The Family Pass will allow families of 2 adults and up to 3 children to gain entry into Britain’s greatest historic properties, all for one price. The pass is available for 4, 7, 15, and 30 days, and prices will range from £62 to £154.

Created by VisitBritain exclusively for the international overseas visitor, the GBHP currently allows free entry to nearly 600 locations, comprised of properties from English Heritage, National Trust, Treasure Houses of England, Historic Houses Association, Cadw, National Trust for Scotland, and Historic Scotland. Locations included on the product are Stonehenge, Edinburgh Castle, Shakespeare’s Birthplace, and Warwick Castle. The GBHP will also have 19 new properties added to its line-up in 2007, including Rockingham Castle, Alnwick Castle, and Burghley House.

The Family Pass will officially launch on the VisitBritain stand at World Travel Market, taking place from 6 to 9 November, 2006.
