Benjamin Franklin Returns to London after 231 years

The London Pass is proud to welcome one of London's newest museums, Benjamin Franklin House, to its line-up, as its latest guidebook is launched with three new attractions and two new offers.

Benjamin Franklin House

Amanda Truman, Product Manager, and Angus Rankine, Founding Director,
re-create the spirit of Benjamin Franklin.

Benjamin Franklin House is the world’s only remaining Franklin home, located just minutes from Trafalgar Square at 36 Craven Street. Franklin, Founding Father of the United States and a scientist, diplomat, philosopher, and inventor, lived there for nearly 16 years, from 1757–1775.

The house only recently opened in January of 2006 on Franklin’s 300th birthday, and includes a dynamic museum and educational facility. Visitors have the opportunity to witness the Historical Experience, whereby they are lead into the life of Benjamin Franklin on his last night in London. Polly Hewson, Franklin’s landlady’s daughter is their guide, and allows visitors to take a step back into the past as they experience history.

Amanda Truman, Product Manager for the London Pass said, “We are delighted to welcome Benjamin Franklin House to our product line-up. Visitors will be able to experience first hand the life and times of Benjamin Franklin and see for themselves how Franklin helped to shape the future of America.”

Benjamin Franklin House is free to enter with the London Pass.
