New Attractions Take The London Pass To Over
£400 In Value
The award winning London Pass has recently signed up 12 new attractions
to its existing portfolio, taking the overall value to over £400.
The card now boasts free or discounted entry to over 50 attractions, and
is fast becoming the most economical way for visitors to see London. In
addition to the cost-saving benefits, The London Pass also enables users
to head straight to the front of the queue of many attractions using smart
card technology. Details of the attractions can be found in the new London
Pass guidebook, which features a welcome letter from Tamara Ingram, the
Chairman of the London Tourist Board and Convention Bureau.
Users of The London Pass can now visit the National Trust properties Osterley
Park and Fenton House for free, as well as gain free admission to Eton
College, and The Queens Gallery. Football fans will be able to attend
Chelsea FC Stadium Tours, and lovers of the Bard will now be able to visit
The Shakespeares Globe Tour and Exhibition. Probably the most unusual
offer is from The Albert Pub on Victoria Street, which is offering London
Pass holders a free pint, with every bar meal.
In addition, the Theatre Museum in Covent Garden has recently agreed an
exclusive deal for London Pass holders, giving private behind the
scenes tours of the museum at 11.00am daily from Tuesday to Sunday.
The offer begins from 1 May 2003.
Commenting on the additional attractions, Managing Director, Angus Rankine
said: Our team here at The Leisure Pass Group, are always looking
for new ways to make The London Pass more attractive to visitors and it
is our aim to make The London Pass an essential part of every visitors
stay. We are very much looking forward to working with our new partners,
and to providing a product for which makes Londons tourists keep
coming back for more.
The London Pass is recognised as being one of the most effective city
cards in the world, as it covers the majority of the citys attractions,
and has been proactively marketed to visitors since its inception in 1997.
The company has since expanded to include The New York Pass and The York
Pass. Rankines expertise in making city passes user-friendly, and
profitable for the organisations involved, means that he is now playing
a major role in the changing face of Europes existing city pass
schemes. Rankine was recently appointed as vice-Chairman to the working
group of European Cities Tourism an organisation which brings together
80 cities across Europe to discuss ways in which the cards can be improved.
He is also in talks with several cities around the world regarding the
transfer of this unique smart card technology, together with the re-branding
of their city cards. Rankine would like to see the same technology being
applied to city cards overseas, so visitors to Europe, particularly those
from the US, can expect the same standard of service from each and every
city card they use.
