Europe's First On-Line Passport
For those planning their trip to Europe, seeing the sights has never been
easier. Not only as the Euro been introduced in most countries as the
common currency, but visitors can now book all their city passes for each
country they are planning to visit in advance, via one simple website
www.europeancitycards.com.
Built by European Cities Tourism, an organisation dedicated to promoting
city tourism across the region, the website now offers travellers the
ease of purchase for all their sightseeing prior to setting off on their
journey. City cards offer visitors the opportunity to visit the citys
attractions and travel around the city for one set price, providing enormous
savings for the visitor. This is particularly useful for overseas visitors
from Asia or America, who tend to visit several cities across Europe on
the same trip.
Also the smart card technology, which is available in cards such as The
London Pass, means that it is possible to gain entry fast-track
into attractions using a swipe card mechanism. This is particularly useful
in the summer months, when queues for attractions such as The Tower of
London, can reach up to 45 minutes long. Users of The London Pass can
simply jump to the front of the queue, providing more time to see more
sights!!
Commenting on the network launch, Angus Rankine, vice Chairman of the
European Cities Tourism, Working Group said: European Cities Tourism
is an organisation which is dedicated to making the visitors journey
as smooth and as rewarding as possible. The launch of this website allows
visitors to discover Europes finest cities with the value and convenience
of a city pass. Our aim is to make sure visitors to Europe get the most
out of their stay this website aims to do just that.
