Entry to More Than 50 Attractions

World Travel Market is offering a million pound giveaway to all delegates this year. Organisers say it is the largest promotion ever in the event’s 24-year history.

The expected 45,000 exhibitors and industry professionals at the leading global event (Monday 10 - Thursday 13 November at London ExCeL, UK) will receive a free London Pass, worth £27 each, for use on any one day during the week. The passes can be collected from the Visit London stand.

Offered in conjunction with Visit London and the Leisure Pass Group, it means visitors have free fast track entry to more than 50 of London’s most popular tourist attractions during their visit.

Fiona Jeffery, Group Exhibition Director said that the retail value of the promotion to World Travel Market delegates (excluding students) was worth a staggering £1,217,000.

She added: “This is the biggest promotion ever at World Travel Market and we are very grateful to Visit London and the Leisure Pass Group who have worked hard to bring this to fruition.

Free London Pass for All World Travel Market Delegates
“As part of our customer service last year, we offered all delegates a free trip on the British Airways London Eye which had a phenomenal take-up. We expect this offer to be even more successful as many professionals either fly in early over the weekend beforehand or spend a further day or two in London at the end of their stay.

“For the first time ever, World Travel Market delegates will be able to enjoy the best that London has to offer absolutely free, courtesy of Visit London.

“This offer is part of London tourism’s new drive to extend a warm welcome to all industry professionals at World Travel Market. The organisation is also sponsoring the World Travel Market Pocket Guide, providing every delegate the latest information on ExCeL as well as restaurants, bars and attractions in London.

Commenting on the London Pass giveaway, David Campbell, Chief Executive, Visit London said: “A great initiative by the London Pass team. Visit London’s ‘Totally London’ campaign is all about showcasing the impressive and diverse range of activities always on offer in our world-class capital, the London pass is a money saving tool for visitors which does just that and World Travel Market offers an ideal opportunity to reinforce this among the travel trade.”

Founding Director of the London Pass, Angus Rankine said:” Visitors to exhibitions often do not find the time to see the sights of the city – The London Pass will provide delegates with the opportunity to really enjoy their stay. We are delighted to be working so closely with Visit London and see this promotion as the culmination of the efforts made throughout 2003 to attract visitors to London.”
