Benjamin Franklin House |
Benjamin Franklin House is the world’s only remaining Franklin home, located just minutes from Trafalgar Square at 36 Craven Street. Franklin, Founding Father of the United States and a scientist, diplomat, philosopher, and inventor, lived there for nearly 16 years, from 1757–1775.

The house only recently opened in January of 2006 on Franklin’s 300th birthday, and includes a dynamic museum and educational facility. Visitors have the opportunity to witness the Historical Experience, whereby they are lead into the life of Benjamin Franklin on his last night in London. Polly Hewson, Franklin’s landlady’s daughter is their guide, and allows visitors to take a step back into the past as they experience history. |

The Cartoon Museum |
The Cartoon Museum is London’s first cartoon museum and just opened to the public at the beginning of 2006. It exhibits the very finest examples of British cartoons, caricature, and comic art from the 18th century to the present day, and it will compliment the work of the Cartoon Study Centre at the University of Kent at Canterbury. The museum features rare and original artwork, with over 250 cartoons spread over 200 floors, including that of Peanuts, Punch, Giles, and Spitting Image.

Chelsea Physic Garden was founded in 1673 by the worshipful Society of Apothecaries, and is considered to be a centre of education, beauty, and relaxation. It is a four-acre oasis in the heart of the capital, and is one of the oldest botanic gardens in England. The garden contains over 5000 species of plants, and visitors have the opportunity to enjoy wildlife or just relax in this haven. The botanic garden continues to fulfil the traditional functions of scientific research and plant conservation, and also educates and informs visitors of its purpose.
