Visit Britain and Leisure Pass Group create joint venture on Great British Heritage Pass |

joint venture for the Great British Heritage Pass. |

Visit Britain (VB), the authority for tourism in Britain, has joined forces with the Leisure Pass Group (LPG), to improve and increase distribution and usage of the Great British Heritage Pass (GBHP).
Angus Rankine, Founding Director of LPG, commented, “We are delighted to be working with Visit Britain on the Great British Heritage Pass. This is the most established tourism pass in the world and we are looking forward to building on its 30 year pedigree by introducing new technology which will bring it up to date.”
LPG will build smart technology for the GBHP, to be introduced in 2006, and in association with VB, will implement marketing strategy and manage relationships with the participating properties. LPG is also looking to significantly develop additional sales channels for GBHP, offering it to a broad range of internet visitors worldwide. |

The London Pass now offers a free guided tour of the Royal Albert Hall, where there is an opportunity to discover the Hall’s long history, witness some of the unseen workings, and peek into the auditorium as the Hall prepares to open its doors for the next show. |

Ministry of Sound: London Pass gets Cool & Urban |
London Pass holders will now get ready to party at the Ministry of Sound, London’s original super club. London Pass holders receive both VIP Access and a special rate on Friday and Saturday nights. Holders will jump the queue and be waved straight in whilst only paying £8 entrance (normally £12 to £15).

“Find the Plot” with London Pass
“Remember, remember, the 5th of November, gunpowder, treason and plot…”
On the 5th of November every year to mark the discovery of Guy Fawkes’s attempted gunpowder plot on Parliament, the lighting of bonfires and fireworks, as well as the burning of the ‘Guy’, can be witnessed across the country.
With the London Pass, it is possible to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the “Gunpowder Plot” by visiting a range of exhibitions at attractions commemorating the event.

‘Gardens of Glass: Chihuly at Kew’
Kew’s most ambitious festival ever |

World renowned American artist Dale Chihuly has teamed up with Kew Gardens to incorporate his work throughout the garden landscape and great historic glasshouses of this botanical garden. Chihuly’s glass sculptures will be designed specifically to integrate with the living collections, the listed architecture, and the spectacular Georgian vistas of Kew.
Entrance to Kew Gardens is free with the London Pass.

‘Zandra Rhodes: A Lifelong Love Affair with Textiles’ |

The Fashion & Textile Museum was opened in 2003 and is now hosting an exhibition dedicated to the work of Zandra Rhodes. Visitors will have the opportunity to view Rhodes’s creative process, from initial inspiration through to the exotic finished product.

Hampton Court Palace

‘Suffragettes, Soldiers & Servants: Behind the Scenes of the Hampton Court Palace Community, 1750-1950’ |

Hampton Court Palace, home to Henry VIII, presents this grand exhibition highlighting the lives of its lesser known residents. The exhibition is located in a 17th century apartment originally built by Sir Christopher Wren, and will be the first time that these rooms, formerly a ‘grace and favour’ apartment, have been opened to the public. Visitors can come and witness 200 years’ worth of undiscovered history at Hampton Court.

British Museum extends the very successful ‘Mummy: the inside story’ |
The British Museum has announced the extension of one of the most popular exhibitions on the London Pass. "Mummy: the inside story", the British Museum’s blockbuster exhibition, uses CAT scanning to look inside an unopened 3000 year old Egyptian Mummy to expose the secrets of what lies within. Due to the popularity of this fascinating exhibition, its run has been extended to August 14th 2005.
