The story so far...

Sales through The London Pass web site continue to grow, year on year. In January 2003, sales increased by a massive 135% for the same period the previous year and the trend carried through to 2003, where January saw another increase of 100%

and now...

Spring 2003 will see the introduction of a trade professionals and organisers area within The London Pass site. Visitors to the site will be met with a click-through option on The London Pass landing page, which will transfer them to the trade professional area. Applicants will be required to apply for a password and provide details about their company to obtain access to the area. A reply email will then be sent containing their password for access to this restricted area of the site.

Upon returning to the site and entering their password, agents and professionals using the trade professional area to purchase London Passes for their clients, will automatically receive commission on all their London Pass sales.

Two email confirmations will be sent to the purchaser, one for their client showing our price and the other for the agent showing the specially discounted rate.

We would still like to ask that all group and volume operators continue to contact Ian direct.

The Smart Government Forum
The Smart Growth of Tourism

Leisure Pass Group Founding Director Angus Rankine, was a keynote speaker at the Smart Government Forum, held on 20th February 2003. It is the aim of The British Government by 2005 to modernise and automate the delivery mechanisms through which public services are offered to citizens, with the ultimate goal being an electronic platform.

This modernisation promises to completely transform, improve and enrich the quality of services offered. National and local authorities will have the ability to provide services at times and in places of convenience to individuals, whilst ensuring that that those entitled to personal benefits receive them, as well as containing or reducing the overall costs of delivery of the service.

Along with a number of representatives from companies that employ the use of smart technology in their businesses, Angus addressed a large audience of government officials and commercial operators, dissecting and explaining the application of smart cards within the industry.

If you would like more information on smart cards and their application in tourism, please email Angus Rankine
